Our first-ever UpActive Data-Driven Managers Awards recognized five managers from programs ranging from afterschool reading & literacy training, to soccer for refugee children, to high school sports.

Our Summer 2018 winners were:

The one constant: A strong dedication to helping community members develop the skills they will need to build for the future.

“[UpActive] is an easy platform to take attendance and track data for your students. It’s important to collect that data to track the impact that my program has on the students’ progress.”

—Allison Reynolds, Read Alliance, New York

Knowing who you serve, and how often, is the key to building a program that makes the best use of its resources.

“[UpActive] helps build and grow your program.”

—Lee Clayborn, East Aurora High School, Chicago

Consistently collecting data, and ensuring that it is clean and accurate, is an integral component to measuring progress and informing decision making.

We work as hard as we can to develop a partner approach, and co-create a strategic plan to help our clients to achieve just that.

“UpActive has allowed us to keep excellent and accurate data for 3-plus years. In addition, your customer support has always been excellent. I interacted mainly with Jonathan Myers and Willis Cowden, and both of them always responded right away to our needs.

Find below why we were so committed to taking accurate attendance in our club.

Accurate attendance data is important because:

1. Attendance data is factual/true, if taken correctly.

2. Attendance data is a way to track commitment.

3. Attendance data helps improve the Performance Environment, if used relentlessly.

The ‘currency to play’ soccer in our club is commitment and level. Since our club model lives outside of the pay-to-play model, we have attendance (current and overtime) as one of the 4 ways we measure commitment. From the day I joined YALLA and saw UpActive (at the time called SportUp) I knew that the only way to get accurate data was to input attendance relentlessly. And that is what I did.”

Duda Coelho, YALLA San Diego

A huge thank you to our partners in the community for their commitment to their work, and for choosing to leverage the UpActive platform to help them along the way.

The next round of winners in the quarterly UpActive Data-Driven Manager Awards will be announced in January, 2019.
